Tempe Homes for Sale

Tempe Arizona home of the sun devils and also what many student of ASU call home. Tempe has been an ever growing town with new homes, commercial real estate and businesses opening up every year. Although in the last few years we have seen a slow in the market I feel that Tempe will never really suffer any major real estate loss, because of Arizona State University. Roughly about 50,000 students go to ASU every year and they are always looking for student housing. When they can't live on campus they are going to want to live as close as they can get. The college is located north of the township only a few miles away from Scottsdale and also Phoenix.

The other great feature about living in Tempe is how close you are to the airport. If you live anywhere near ASU campus, getting to the airport if only a few miles away. With the beautiful Tempe Town Lake and elegant commercial and residential office and condo building, Tempe has really stepped up appearance with this kind of construction going on.

Tempe was established around 1879, where by 1885 they chose Tempe as the Territorial Normal School. That later became what we all know as Arizona State University. It wasn't until around 1911 that they were able to guarantee enough water by creating the Roosevelt Dam.

Tempe marketplace is one of the newest developments. With every shopping and dinner store you could hope to find in one location was all brought together here. The developers were able to get a very valuable piece of real estate only a couple blocks away from ASU campus. This allowed for college students to have one place to shop at for all of their school needs and for living. With new businesses and multifamily residences going up every year, it hasn't affected the housing market much because the college is also increasing its attendance. With more students comes more need for Arizona homes for sale. Not to mention that Tempe is the Arizona branch for IKEA.

I would say one of Tempe's most famous attractions has to be Tempe Butte also known as "A Mountain". It is 1,496 feet tall and has been an Arizona State attraction for many years. Students hike this mountain daily to keep in shape. While other use it to take pictures of beautiful Tempe homes for sale. I think that this is one of the most appealing places to live. The city is always full of energy and after the installation of the new Light Rail. It has made traveling after a night out on the town is a simple as hoping the next train home. Also it being centrally located right next to the airport and it shares a property line with Phoenix homes and Scottsdale homes.
